To create a culture of health, safety, and vitality throughout Hamilton County.
That’s the mission of Hamilton County Public Health’s WeTHRIVE! initiative.

What started with 50 people in three priority communities in 2009 has expanded to impact more than 200,000 people throughout 22 communities. This still-growing movement, which provides a framework to communities for healthy living, is a result of sustainable thinking from the start.

WeTHRIVE! is a county-wide initiative to make healthy living easier. In 2009, Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) engaged schools, businesses, churches, elected officials and residents to address chronic disease by increasing access to healthy foods and physical activity opportunities, while decreasing exposure to secondhand smoke. In 2014, the focus of WeTHRIVE! expanded to improve the overall health, safety, and vitality of our communities. WeTHRIVE! pathways now include substance use/abuse, social health, injury prevention, environmental health, emergency preparedness, and chronic disease.
